Front Lunge: Quads, Butt, Hamstrings
|

Starting with feet parallel, take one long step forward with right foot
|
• |
Lower left (rear) knee towards floor
|
• |
Press back with front leg to return to beginning position
|
• |
Alternating legs, inhale as you lunge forward; exhale as you push back to start
|
• |
Prevent front knee from passing toes
|
|
|
Squat: Quads, Butt, Hamstrings
|
 |
 |
• |
Position feet at about hip-width apart
|
• |
Slowly lower butt towards chair
|
• |
Just prior to sitting, press back upward to a standing position
|
• |
Inhale as you lower yourself; exhale as you press upward
|
• |
Keep knees behind toes and back as straight as possible
|

Leg Extension: Quads
|

• |
Inhale before starting
|
• |
Extend legs upward as you exhale
|
• |
Just prior to locking out, hold momentarily and then lower slowly as you inhale
|
|
|
Seated Leg Curl: Hamstrings
|

 |
• |
Starting with legs straight out, take deep breathe in
|
• |
Maintain a slight bend at knees
|
• |
As you exhale, press legs downward, to a 90 degree angle
|
