Happy Healthy New Year!
For most of us, this is the time of the year for new beginnings. The holiday season is behind us - along with all the social obligations, added stress ... and added calories. Also gone, hopefully, is the automatic urge to use the popular "no time" excuse for not being active (although you may know of people who are quick to use this excuse any time of year).
It's time to buckle down and set new patterns for the New Year, whether in terms of emotional well-being, physical health, or fiscal health. All three, afterall, are the cornerstones of life - all three are interrelated.
Particularly during times of economic hardship, it is critical to establish health goals, ones that are clear, consise and realistic. This issue contains two articles, one entitled Keep Resolutions Reasonable (written by moi) and Your Body Presents Its Bill, by guest writer, Karol Ward, LCSW, a licensed psychotherapist, professional speaker and author of her recently-released book, Find Your Inner Voice.
